City Dreamers

The story of four female pioneers that observed and shaped the city of today and tomorrow

Founded in 2009 by entrepreneur Arye Kohavi, Israeli company Watergen has been developing and implementing a technology that extracts clean water from air. Kohavi came up with the idea during his time serving in the Israeli Defense Forces, when he observed that front-line soldiers would often run out of water when convoys were destroyed. Originally designed to produce drinking water for the military in conflict zones, the machine is now being used for humanitarian missions to bring safe drinking water to areas struck by natural disaster or poverty.
